The organising Rhayader Motor Club are opening up rider entries tonight (April 28th) via the Go Race website. There’s a class for all ability levels, with races taking place for Pro/Expert, Clubman/Veterans and Novice/Ladies.

The fast-paced event programme gets underway with practice from 5:30pm, and the date drops for the first race at 6:30pm. Each class gets three motos on the night, with a 9-race format followed by the ‘Dash for Cash’ grand final, which again has BIG prize money for the winners! And whilst there’s always a cash reward to attract the pros, the event sponsors always put together a good prize package for those in the supporting classes.

Announcements of pro riders taking part will follow in the next couple of weeks, suffice to say that the popular event always attracts some of the UK’s top riders.

And for the amateur stars, the event is a great opportunity to experience racing in a ‘pro’ style event – the meeting always attracts a huge crowd of several thousand spectators who crowd the hillside fencing. With an international-standard venue set up to host the Enduro GP of Wales, and a motocross circuit excellently prepared by Shape & Scape, Cwmythig Hill is arguably one of the country’s best motocross courses outside of the established national championship calendar.

Organisers have resolved to keep the event wallet-friendly for riders, with entry fees remaining at 2025 prices, whilst for spectators the entry fee remains at just £10.
This is always a well-subscribed event with entries regularly sold out, so if you’re thinking of lining up on the gate, get on the club website and get booked in. Don’t be the one who regrets leaving it too late!
